Pendekatan Fenomenologi Untuk Riset Sosial, Budaya dan Agama

Abstract


This article examines the phenomenological approach, its variances and its implementations in the socio-cultural research of Indonesia society. Phenomenology became the most important phlishophical movement in the twentith century and gave imfluence in any research such as sociology, antropology, psicology, education and others. Phenomenology influence almost social schools of thought, especially as the anti-thesis of the positivism domination or quantitative research. Phenomenology as a method was started by Edmund Husserl (1859 – 1938) and than many scientists developed a variant theory such as sociology phenomenology of Alfred Schutz, etno-methodology of Harold Garfinkel, etno-science/cognitive anthropology, constructivism of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann, simbolic interaction of George Herbert Mead and psicological- phenomenology. Phenomenology as a method have developed dynamically in all humanities sciences and socio-cultural theories including relegious phenomenon research. In islamic studies, the main focus of phenomenology is the aspect of relegious experience, by describing relegious phenomena of native of view.
